Attorney Sarah Waters earned her Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida where she also minored in Sociology with a focus on Criminology. Subsequently, she attended The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, in Washington, D.C., for her Juris Doctorate. During law school, she worked for a chief judge and at the United States Attorney’s Office, the Montgomery County State Attorney’s Office, and a criminal defense firm while also pursuing community outreach and academic opportunities.

Following law school, Sarah worked as a prosecutor at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. She tried more than fifteen felony cases, including a homicide that received media attention, and numerous others during her time in the Juvenile and County Court divisions. At the time she left the office, she was prosecuting serious violent felonies, such as attempted murder and sexual battery. Sarah uses these amazing skills to help employees who have been sexually harassed in the office as well as rape victims and sexual assault victims who deserve compensation as well as justice.

Sarah understands the very sensitive matters are clients are facing and works to not only advocate for them in the court of law but listen to them and help them process the issues they are dealing with as a result of the injustices they have suffered. Her skills as a former sex-crimes prosecutor afford her the ability to see victims as both victims and clients and be patient as they work through the pain caused by the very issues that landed them in Sarah’s office.

Intersting facts about Sarah:
Sarah is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She also enjoys running half-marathons. When she is not in the office or exercising, she enjoys spending her free time with her dog or volunteering in the community in various capacities.
