For the past thirteen years, Dawn DeMaio has been the glue that holds the employment discrimination law firm of Derek Smith Law Group, PLLC together. As the firm’s Human Resources Director nationwide and the paralegal to Derek Smith, personally, Dawn ensures every client gets the personalized attention they deserve.
Since graduating from college at Fairleigh Dickinson University and earning an HR Business Degree from Rutgers University, Dawn has consistently worked in the legal field. She uses her experience to ensure all the firm’s labor & employment law clients receive the best service possible for their legal claim or lawsuit.
Dawn enjoys working on labor & employment law claims and sexual harassment lawsuits. “Every case is personal to me. I’ve spent nights talking clients off ledges. I get emotionally invested in each client. Very satisfying to me.”
Originally hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Dawn currently lives in Staten Island. In her spare time, Dawn enjoys spending time with her two daughters and, gardening at home.
