Biography

Daniel J. Barroukh is a dynamic and driven young attorney with a fresh perspective and a passion for employment law. As he joins the Derek Smith Law Group, he brings his unwavering dedication to advocating for employees’ rights and his commitment to achieving fair and just outcomes in workplace-related legal matters.

Mr. Barroukh earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he graduated with honors and received the Dean’s Scholarship in recognition of his exceptional academic performance. During his time in law school, Mr. Barroukh served as a Board Member and Substance and Citation Editor for the Loyola Maritime Law Journal, where he authored an article regarding the Fair Labor Standards Act and its effect on employees aboard Maritime vessels.

Mr. Barroukh understands that employment-related legal issues can be emotionally charged and overwhelming, so he makes it a priority to build strong relationships with his clients, ensuring that they feel heard, supported, and well-informed throughout the legal process.

In his free time, Mr. Barroukh enjoys listening to and performing jazz music as well as going to the beach, cooking, and attending sporting events, and he is excited to contribute his expertise and enthusiasm to the esteemed team in Miami, ensuring that his clients receive the high-quality legal representation they deserve.
