Awa Henderson acquired her Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York College at Buffalo where she majored in Criminal Justice. Following graduation, Awa used her knowledge gained in undergrad to help victims of child abuse and neglect as a paralegal for several years, while working towards her law degree.

In law school, Awa held numerous internship positions including working with the Orange County, California District Attorney’ s office. While at Whittier, she served as a Student Bar Association Representative, as well as a member of the Whittier Trial Advocacy Team. Awa graduated law school with a Concentration in Trial Advocacy.

Awa is a zealous advocate for justice and is excited to help those who have been wronged at work get the justice she knows they deserve. She understands that employment discrimination and sexual harassment are an unfortunate reality in the workforce and believes she can help change that reality one case at a time.

Awa was an accomplished figure skater in her youth and makes it a point to get back to the ice whenever an opportunity arises.
