Biography

Employment Law Attorney, Susan C. Keesler, is a Former Sex Crimes Prosecutor and came to the Derek Smith Law Group from the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. There she tried hundreds of cases, including jury trials, involving matters of rape, child sexual and physical abuse, domestic violence, child pornography and sexual assault. She also prosecuted multi-defendant cases involving the straw purchase of firearms, non-fatal shootings, and drug trafficking. Susan was known as a protector of the people that defendants feared going up against in court.

Susan brings with her the same passion she had as a prosecutor to her current work, advocating on behalf of employees who have been discriminated against in their workplace. As an advocate, she has seen the worst people have to offer and know that no one is above the law. Susan believes in holding employers and their staff responsible for their actions against employees, letting them know that the law does not discriminate against anyone.

Interesting facts about Susan:
During law school, Susan was a member of the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law’s National Trial Team and Civil Justice Clinic, and she also served as a volunteer attorney committed to providing Pro Bono legal services for Lone Star Legal Aid in Texas. In addition to fighting for the rights of people who need it most, Susan plays the violin and piano. She is also a loving mom of two adorable children and in her free time, loves to cook.
