Rachel is an Associate with the Derek Smith Law Group where she primarily concentrates on Employment Discrimination and Civil Rights cases. Rachel is a zealous legal advocate and gives each of her clients the time, respect and consideration that they deserve.
Rachel received her Bachelor’s Degree, a double major in Criminal Justice and English, from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Rachel earned her Juris Doctorate Degree from St. John’s University School of Law, where she was Vice President of the Evening Student Association and the Managing Editor/Co-Founder of the Commercial Litigation Law Journal.
Rachel has extensive experience representing Plaintiffs, exclusively, in both commercial and civil litigations from inception through trial/appeal. In addition to representing aggrieved parties in individual lawsuits, Rachel has successfully litigated several class actions and managed global settlements on behalf of her clients. Rachel continues to provide pro bono services to the NY State Division of Human Rights and LawHelpNY.org.
