Casey earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Los Angeles. He later obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly known as UC Hastings School of Law). During his time in law school, Casey accumulated valuable expertise in employment law and litigation by serving as a law clerk at a Los Angeles-based employment law firm that represented plaintiffs. Furthermore, Casey dedicated his time as a volunteer Mediator at the San Francisco Superior Court, where he contributed to the resolution of numerous contractual and tenant/landlord disputes.
Following his admission to the bar in California, Casey began practicing employment law for the Derek Smith Law Group, LLP.
Casey passionately champions the cause of individuals facing genuine hardship. His clients and those he assists have endured severe mistreatment from those in positions of financial authority, who wield control over their capacity to support their families and lead their lives. Casey tirelessly dedicates himself to advocating for his clients with unwavering fervor, commitment, and meticulous attention to every detail.
In his leisure hours, Casey takes delight in the company of his two charming orange-tabby feline companions, indulges in the culinary arts with a passion for cooking, and savors the joy of experiencing live music performances.
