Attorney Alexander G. Cabeceiras is an experienced and passionate litigator. Attorney Cabeceiras has handled numerous employment law disputes, including cases that involve disability discrimination, gender discrimination, religious discrimination, and pregnancy discrimination.
Attorney Cabeceiras brings years of labor & employment law litigation experience to the Derek Smith Law Group, PLLC.
Before joining the Derek Smith Law Group, PLLC, Attorney Cabeceiras clerked for an Administrative Law Judge at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s Washington, D.C. headquarters, where he gained invaluable employment law litigation experience.
During his time at the University of Connecticut School of Law, Attorney Cabeceiras was a summer law clerk at a large firm in Boston, Massachusetts, handling labor & employment law litigation, civil litigation, and appellate matters.
Prior to that, Attorney Cabeceiras worked at the Connecticut Office of the Attorney Generals Employment Rights Division helping to defend Connecticut State municipalities against any and all employment dispute.
Attorney Cabeceiras is admitted to practice in Southern District of New York, the Eastern District of New York, and the District of New Jersey, as well New York State and New Jersey State.
Attorney Cabeceiras received his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of law, and his B.A. from Plymouth State University.
Attorney Cabeceiras is a Connecticut native. He enjoys hiking, fishing, and golf.
